Business War Games for Executive & Management Development

Powersim Solutions delivers business war gaming and other types of competitive and non-competitive business simulation solutions to meet the different needs of our customers.

Our business simulation war games are utilized by Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft and Novellus, plus use by higher education institutes such as George Mason University School of Management for its Executive Education Programs.

Business war game simulations from Powersim Solutions are scalable, from single user simulations to multi-user simulations for hundreds of participants for multi day leadership development programs, executive and management education retreats and workshops.

Competitive Business War Games

  • Wargaming or Direct Competition – In this format, teams are assigned management roles to run their companies within a specific industry, directly competing in factors such as prices, brand image, and quality for customers, distribution channels, ad space and other human, production and distribution resources. Performance is determined by set performance goals like ROA, Stock Price, EPS, Market Share, etc.
  • Comparative Competition – Teams or individual players run their assigned companies and the winning team or player is determined by ranking and comparing final scores, calculated from some predetermined performance metrics.

Collaborative Business Simulation War Games

  • A team or player acts as the management of different companies in an industry, where each team/player is assigned a different role in the industry, such as consumer, retailer, wholesaler and producer, as in the Beer Game Supply Chain Simulation (opens in new window).
  • Organizational (Business Units, Functional) – Teams or individual players are assigned different roles, such as business or functional unit managers, in the management of a single company.

Non Competitive Business Simulations

  • A single player makes strategic decisions with the aim of improving the operational performance of an organization, while focusing on improving his/her own decision-making skills rather winning a game.
